Craig Duncan
President
Craig Duncan grew up dreaming about aviation as a missionary kid in Africa and the Philippines.
In 1994 he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Art from Penn State University. Craig was a member of the Penn State Soaring Club and the Penn State student chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). He helped lead the design and construction of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) for a student competition sponsored by SAE.
After graduation, Craig taught himself how to program computers and became an application developer. He earned the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification in 1997. He recognized the potential of the World Wide Web and started learning and working with the latest Internet technologies.
Craig co-founded a company called frameWERKS, Inc. in 1999. While at frameWERKS, he helped develop a demo of a speech-enabled Internet service. The service was written with VoiceXML and allowed users to access email and contact information stored in Microsoft Exchange with a telephone.
Currently a student pilot, Craig has wanted to be a Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) pilot since childhood. He plans to fly a Moller Skycar for MAF. Craig founded C3D Aero to write Aviation Web Services that will help make his goal possible.
